Caring, Serving, Giving

Are you looking for a church where you can grow as a Christian? A place where you find other Christians committed to serving Jesus Christ? A place where children and youth are challenged to be disciples along side adults? Perhaps God is leading you to Olympia Fields United Methodist Church.

Our mission at OFUMC is to equip Christians for ministry. In Ephesians we read these words, “The gifts Christ gave were that some would be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ. All baptized Christians are called to be ministers. We seek to offer Christians the tools needed to answer God’s call to ministry.

Every form of ministry is built on worship, prayer , and Bible study. In Sunday worship, in our prayer life, and in study settings such as Sunday School and Lenten studies we grow in our faith. From these core practices, we strengthen our ability to be serving Jesus Christ to all the world.
